In The Land That Never Burned The Trees Are Now On Fire

“Fiery, poetic monologue”– SvD
“The lyrical writing, with all of its metaphorical levels and dimensions, truly fascinates and captivates” – SvD
“The drama suggests that safety, which is so often mentioned, is not everything. The freedom of imagination, poetry and passion is part of the matter.” – Aftonbladet

2015, Dramalabbet, Stockholm. Produced by Astrid herself with the support of the Swedish Art Council and the Writers Guild of Sweden.

Once upon a time… there was a ranger who lost her forest in a fire. But in the fairytale a forest is never just a forest, and a fire is never just a fire. What happens to a person when she loses what she has lived, hoped and cared for for generations.

A raw fairytale about how social crisis can be used tactically as a means of power and control.
